Types of Articles:
  • Empirical Research: The journal will publish empirical investigations that may include experimental analyses, detailed case studies, and research using descriptive, survey, and qualitative methods. Research articles will be evaluated in terms of the highest standards of internal, external, ecological, and social validity.
  • Discussion, Literature Review, Conceptual Papers: The journal will publish authoritative considerations of issues that pertain to community-based supports.
  • Programs and practices: The journal will publish program descriptions and research-to-practice articles that delineate replicable strategies for implementation.
  • Family Support and Family Perspectives: The journal will publish articles that have direct pertinence to the development and provision of family supports, and that offer constructive perspectives of family members.
  • Reviews of Published Material: The journal will publish invited book reviews and reviews of other available material (videos, software) that pertain to community-based support.
  • Forum: The journal will publish brief statements regarding focal issues that typically will be accompanied by invited responses/commentaries from authorities.
